About Us
We are specialist in home appliances and aircon. Goh Sin Huat was set up in 1959 and operates as a provision store. The company ventured into small electrical appliances business in 1965 and started rental business by renting black white Television sets to expatriates. Goh Sin Huat is a family business run by founder Mr Goh Eng Siong and his three children.
In 1988, we were appointed sole agent status for Philco electrical appliances, a renowned USA brand for electrical appliances.
Later we purchased the warehouse at 492 Tanglin Halt Close to store all our products and stock. We decided to move to 492 Tanglin Halt Close because Holland Village became a F&B business hotspot. Lorong Mambong was later tenanted to Crystal Jade Restaurants Pte Ltd. From Tanglin Halt Close, we have very successful warehouse sales at every year end. Please refer to the appended picture below which is a report on our five-day sale which was over $1m.
Goh Sin Huat Electrical Co was awarded sole distributorship for a range of Frigeria water coolers and dispensers imported from Italy and Taiwan. Since then, this range of products have become our major strength, where sales turnover exceeds the million-dollar mark.
Goh Sin Huat Electrical Co also provides Home Appliances, Kitchen Appliances & Aircon rental services to residential, such as Refrigerator, Wahser, Dryer, Dishwasher, Gas Hob, Air Conditioner, Microwave Oven, Kettle & etc, for decades.
In 1993, Yeo Hiap Seng Ltd, a reputed food & beverage company in Singapore approached us and offered to manufacture 19L bottle distilled water from their distillery for our distribution. It was a good opportunity since our bottle dispensers business is rising and this product is a necessity. Sales for our revenue raking products - Frigeria water coolers dispensers more than double after incorporation of strategic marketing plans and efforts.
Later, JTC acquired our land to build a high-tech industrial estate there. We have no choice but to move to Chang Charn Road at Alexandra Industrial Estate. After a few years, we moved to Kung Chong Road which is also Inside Alexandra Industrial Estate. We bought the building to run our daily business. Here, we formed GSH Marketing (S) Pte Ltd and Goh Sin Huat Industries Pte Ltd; which are related companies of Goh Sin Huat Electrical Pte Ltd. GSH Marketing (S) Pte Ltd sells drinking water which includes mineral, distilled and oxygenated water. Goh Sin Huat Industries Pte Ltd provides water dispenser servicing and maintenance.
Later, Lam Chan Property proposed to purchase our building. We decided to move over to 49 Kaki Bukit Place. It is a 7-storeys building with warehouse, showroom and office, all under one roof.
In 2016, the third-generation of the Goh’s family joined the company to handle online businesses. With the help of the third-generation, we are growing steadily. Our biggest client is from Lazada.
Currently, we are also one of the sub-contractor for PSA’s project air-con supply and installation.
